“I love to teach and nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing students become fully fledged artists.”

Approach

My method for teaching is simple: we’ll work together on a couple of class projects where I’ll teach you about how to see with a sculptor’s eye, how to break things down into simple shapes that you’re familiar with, and then how to systematically work your way into the detail using various tools. After that, you’ll get to pick your own project - something that inspires you - and work collaboratively with me to complete it.

“Thank you for a wonderful, informative class. I appreciate your attentiveness to detail and the structured approach to the sculpt. It makes so much more sense because of the anatomy you teach. I look forward to taking more classes with you. As a student from the other end of the continent it was great to be able to do the course by zoom and still get the individual attention that an in person class would offer. One day I will meet you in Cape Cod”.
